Hello. My Name is Michael Viron, and I graduated from the University of West Florida (UWF) in Fall 2000 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science / Computer Information Systems. While I was attending UWF, I founded Web Spinners (a student-led web site develoment organization), and participated in many different activities, including Phi Eta Sigma, the Elections Commission of Student Government, the Homecoming Committee and the Nautical Student Services Advisory Committee. As a graduate, I continue to provide information or advice to many organizations at the University including Web Spinners, and the University Commons & Student Activities Department.
In addition to my full-time job at KAMedData, Inc. as the Manager of Information Technology Solutions (CTO) and the Chief Security Officer (CSO), I also find time for many organizations and projects that I've either founded, am loosely associated with, or am a member of. My most recent personal projects include General Education Online, International Education Resources, and Academic Web Information Repository. I'm also involved as part of the administrative staff of Simple End User Linux, an irc global op on Deepspace, a founding member of Schoolforge, semi-active member of the Pensacola Linux Users Group, involved with the web development and exam development lists of the Linux Professional Institute, founder of mdklinuxfaq.org, member of the Computer Society of IEEE, member of the International Webmasters Association, and loosely associated or otherwise involved with many other organizations and projects.
